Endings Guide

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Still here? Okay, let's get down to business.

At the end of the day, this version (1.X) of The Brides of Anemone Beach only has four true endings. There are additional endings that you can get, but they’re all game overs, and the only way that you get a game over is by failing the button-mash minigame. There may be a secret fifth ending in development, but you don’t have to worry about the parameters for that yet because it does not exist and is not coded into the game. There are also many hidden scenes in the game that only reveal themselves when certain criteria is met. A guide for those will be published in the future.

You will inevitably find one of the true endings if you do not give up at a game over, because that is how the game is designed.

That’s not to say that you might not get stuck in one branch or another. The endings are simple: either Creek is chosen by the Lonely Prince, or she isn’t. At that point, you’re given two choices. One will give you one ending, and one will give you the other. You do not have to tick any more boxes to get each of the two endings, because it is purely choice-based. For this reason, you should save immediately after the attendant announces who the winner is, and load up that save once you’ve tried one ending to immediately get the next one.

Being chosen or not is a little more complex, though not particularly hard-mode. The Brides of Anemone Beach has a main variable that decides the true ending, and your choices throughout the game can give or take away points in that variable. There are other variables that affect scenes (including unlocking hidden ones) and the behaviour of characters towards Creek, but this does not change the inevitable end of whether the Prince likes her or not.

If your ending variable is over 5, Creek wins. If it is lower, then Haven is chosen instead.

Want a hint rather than a full spoiler list? The Lonely Prince rewards Creek when she is bold and outspoken, and when she takes risks to get what she wants.

Ending Variations

Some of the endings also have minor variations depending on certain factors.

Pity (Creek Wins & Chooses Prince):

  • If you have sustained injuries over 3, Creek passes out from her injuries and dies before she can be treated.
  • If Tiara does not return to her ship, she will assume power over Anemone Beach.
  • If Tiara and Creek are dead, the Prince will sit in his castle alone again.

Worry (Haven Wins & Creek Leaves):

  • If Creek's hand is not treated and you have sustained injuries over 3, Creek dies and her body is found by the islanders, floating in a boat.
  • If Creek's hand is not treated and you have injuries under 3, Creek's hand is amputated.

Guilt (Haven Wins & Creek Kills Her & The Prince):

  • If Tiara is alive, she assumes power over Anemone Beach.
